Were the final safety net, RCMP say
Supt. Peter Clark, the commanding officer of the Yukons RCMP, spoke one-on-one with reporters for the first time Wednesday, in the wake of a civil suit filed against the force and eight of its members by the family of a man who died in police custody.
Streamlining detox system
A new law pushed for by the Minnehaha County Commission regarding what police officers can do with distressed, intoxicated people now has the county making a second push to create more efficiency in how people are moved through the Minnehaha County Detoxification Center.
