What is a good supplement for weight loss?

My diet is terrible and I do not enjoy losing my sixpack(abs) but do not want to lose my six pack(beer) either. I have ab muscles but am getting a little extra weight on them.
Should I just stick with trying to get more cardio or is there something that could speed up my metabilism?
